“Since his last impressive performance with us, we are highly anticipating the return of the master Panamanian percussionist OB Succari. He brings an exciting energy with his band PanaMO, who has become a major force in metro Detroit’s live entertainment scene. Fusing his Latin percussion training with a Motown-inspired musical style has allowed Succari to create a jazz sound like no other”

Named as a portmanteau of “Panama” and “Motown,” the band performs a repertoire of original music and jazz standards that have been rearranged to reflect a strong Latin flavor. Their music is a mixture of Afro-Latin rhythms that embraces modernity while respecting the essence of the music’s roots. PanaMO at Detroit Caribbean Festival-2015

At the Detroit Caribbean Festival 2015, we showcased a significant portion of my original repertoire, performing a diverse range of music genres including jazz, mambo, Panamanian tamborito, 6/8, and Detroit dance to the lively beats of PanaMO. Despite the not ideal quality of the video and audio, the energetic and joyous atmosphere of the event was palpable, and we were thrilled to perform for such a wonderful crowd.
