“Since his last impressive performance with us, we are highly anticipating the return of the master Panamanian percussionist Obed Succari. He brings an exciting energy with his band PanaMO, who has become a major force in metro Detroit’s live entertainment scene. Fusing his Latin percussion training with a Motown-inspired musical style has allowed Succari to create a jazz sound like no other”

“Detroit’s “PanaMO” is a renowned Latin Jazz ensemble led by the Panamanian Master Percussionist and composer Obed Succari. Named as a portmanteau of “Panama” and “Motown,” the band performs a repertoire of original music and jazz standards that have been rearranged to reflect a strong Latin flavor. Their music is a mixture of Afro-Latin rhythms that embraces modernity while respecting the essence of the music’s roots. PanaMO has been providing masterful performances in and around the Detroit Metro area for 9 years, and the band features many of the finest jazz musicians in southeast Michigan.”

We are playing mostly part of my original repertoire at Detroit Caribbean Festival 2015. Playing a little bit of everything jazz, mambo, Panamanian tamborito, 6/8 ... Detroit dance whatever PanaMO plays. What a great crowd! Not the best video or audio but can feel the joyful ambiance.
